Malcolm Young, AC/DC Cofounder And Guitarist, Dies at age 64 11/18/2017

Rhythm Guitarist, songwriter, performer, producer and visionary, Malcolm Young whom suffered from dementia for several years died today at the age of 64 at an undisclosed location.

 He "passed away peacefully with his family by his bedside." 

April 2014, Malcolm AC/DC had announced Malcolm would take a break from the band.  Later in September the band revealed Malcolm had dementia. Malcolm's nephew, Stevie Young, toured and recorded with the group in his place.

Malcolm's last appearance with his band was in 2010 in Bilbao, Spain
Angus had told Rolling Stone there had been signs, his brother's condition was deteriorating for at least six years, even before the 2008 album Black Ice was made. Also Malcolm was having problems with his memory and concentration.

As The New York Times noted in 2008, "Since 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan started tracking music sales, this Australian band has sold 26.4 million albums, second only to The Beatles in catalog sales, and more than The Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin."

AC/DC was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2003

51 pets found tethered outside evacuated homes in FL Hurricane Irma

The animals were tied to trees or cars, trapped in fenced yards and locked in crates. The pets belonged to people who evacuated their homes as Hurricane Irma approached.

Palm Beach County Humane authorities reported finding and rescuing 49 dogs and two cats during the past 48 hours.

Director Diane Sauve said calls poured in from neighbors who found the trapped pets after their owners had left to seek safety from the storm, reports WPTV
Sauve said officials will use every paper trail imaginable to track down animal cruelty offenders.
“It’s unconscionable,” she said. “We will not stand for it here in Palm Beach County.”

Florida State Attorney Dave Aronberg said people who left their pets to ride out the storm will be found. Leaving pets behind when evacuating is a violation of the law.
"This is a prime example of animal cruelty," Aronberg said. "We will find you, and we will prosecute you."

Director Diana Sauve and State Attorney Dave Aronberg said they promise to prosecute anyone who left their animals outside to fend for themselves during Hurricane Irma.

The young Massachusetts woman accused of encouraging her boyfriend to commit suicide through text messages was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Michelle Carter, 20, faces up to 20 years in prison.

Carter, was 17 when she persuaded Conrad Roy III, 18, to kill himself in July 2014, encouraged him to commit suicide in a series of texts and phone calls, prosecutors allege. Roy died when his pickup truck filled with carbon monoxide in a store parking lot in Fairhaven, Mass.

“It’s my fault,” Carter texted to her school friend, Samantha Boardman, two months after Roy’s death. “I could have stopped him but I told him to get back in the car.”

Two other friends said Carter had texted them stating she was on the phone with Roy as he died.

“I was talking on the phone with him when he killed himself... I heard him die,” Carter texted to another friend.

What kind of person tells her boyfriend to get back into the truck to kill himself.

“If this is the only way you think you’re gonna be happy, heaven will welcome you with open arms,” she wrote.

Ms. Carter said she would look like a “fool” if Mr. Roy did not kill himself. They talked at length about how he could kill himself with carbon monoxide. “If you emit 3200 ppm of it for five to ten mins you will die within a half hour,” she wrote. In the last days of his life, she told him repeatedly, “You just need to do it.”

Prosecutors said Ms. Carter had caused Mr. Roy’s death because she wanted the sympathy that would come to her as the “grieving girlfriend.” In a ploy to get attention from girls she admired, the prosecutors said, Ms. Carter erroneously told them that Mr. Roy was missing two days before he actually was. That Mr. Roy was still alive, they said, increased the pressure on Ms. Carter to make sure he would soon be dead.

“Every time he came up with an excuse not to do it, she kicked his feet out right from under him and told him why it didn’t matter, why he still needed to die,” Ms. Rayburn, an assistant district attorney, said during Tuesday’s closing statements.

Note, she pushed her boyfriend to kill himself, with texts and phone calls. She even sent texts to friends admitting it.

She knew what she was doing. How do we know this? With a text recovered that was sent to a friend “Sam they read my messages with him I’m done,” she wrote to one friend. “His family will hate me and I can go to jail.”

Mass Shooting at congressional baseball practice held this morning. Several shot, wounded. Gunman shot dead. 7:15am

Man Asked Whether Republicans or Dems Were on Field Before shooting Rep (R) Scalise, aides, Cand security detail Shooting 

Shooting started at 7:15am and lasted about 10 minutes before gunman was shot enough times to be captured.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot in the hip, multiple congressional aides, and some of his security team members were also reportedly wounded. Scalise was in stable condition. Five people were "transported medically" from the scene, Alexandria Police Chief Michael Brown said; however, it was unclear how many people had been shot.

Since he's in leadership, Scalise has a security detail.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) described a "very strange" encounter with a man shortly before Scalise was shot during a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Va. 

Rep. DeSantis who was leaving the baseball practice recalls: “A guy...walked up to us that was asking whether it was Republicans or Democrats out there.”

"I was kind of a little odd," DeSantis said

The gunman, who opened fire with a rifle, was shot by Scalise security detail and U.S. Capitol Police. Was captured and sent to  the hospital. Sen. Mike Lee stated, "however, the gunman was killed."

The members of Congress were holding an early-morning practice for an upcoming congressional baseball game. 

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said "a massacre could have unfolded if police and Scalise's security team were not there." 

He said that he "vaguely" saw the gunman from about 75 yards away before the shots started.

Paul, stated: "We were like sitting ducks."

Moments earlier Rand had been in the batting box next to where the shots were fired.

"Finally, the shooter was shot behind home plate as he was circling around to the first base dugout where there were a number of US congressmen and other folks," stated Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala.

Our security detail was able to incapacitate him at that point. I don't know if he [the shooter] was dead. He was wounded. I don't know how many times he was wounded."

Brooks reportedly used a belt as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding of an aide who was shot in the leg. Two law enforcement officers were also injured, including one who was hit in the leg, Brooks said.

"Behind third base, I see a rifle...I hear Steve Scalise over near 2nd base scream," Brooks said. "...While all of this is going on, Steve Scalise our whip was lying on the ground near the second base position crawling into right field, leaving a trail of blood."

Brooks said the gunman was using the dugout as cover and estimated the assailant got off 50-100 shots during the attack on the 15-25 people gathered at the field.

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, told Fox News he "felt like I was in Iraq, but without my weapon."

Fight fake news, call people out. In addition unfortunate those people who make a commentary do not continue to follow the news they posted or commented on when it is revealed it is fake or lies. 
With that, even when it is brought out that so called news was fake or a lie, in facebook land it continues to live as truth. 

What is intensifying this fake news, it is now said over 40% of millenniums look to facebook for their news and growing.

With facebook ceo a proclaimed ultra liberal, and FB created filters to censor conservative news, and even moderate news that is against the ultra liberal agenda and 40% of millenniums read FB for their news and growing. #2 share something from google owned apps. Yes google is in competition with Fb. Fb is greedy. You can not ban google, so ban people who share google items.

#3 Share an article from Yahoo.com, yes even yahoo.com. LOL if you share a foxnews article on FB, you begging for the Fb police to come for you to ban your account.

#4 it has become so stringent no one can say who you share from into FB will get you in hot water.

#5 share a picture into a group page and receive to many likes or comments in to short of a time period. You will be blocked, your post or comments will be blocked as spam, and you will have to verify your account and go thru their security process. You may even be forced to change your password.

#6 many have time on weekend for FB, to catch up, see pages of friends, comment and like pictures or articles. Now you will be flagged for suspicious activity. Because your activity during the week was low to non existent and the weekend activity spiked. This will cause a red flag in facebook.

Verification, up until week ago a simple text to your phone with a verification number you can input to FB and you back in your account.

Fb in the last month started to force people to create new passwords. On young lady was forced to change her password 4 times in 3 weeks. She has now stopped posting on FB. "It is easier not to log into facebook then it is to go thru the security of Fb and create new password weekly". Some times twice in a week. She has had her FB account for over 10 years

Input security text number, security questions, verify pictures from 5 years ago. Now create new password and ......

New verification--As of this week---you must upload a selfie of your face. Then FB will review it and contact you.

Many were in shock to hear of Hernandez committing suicide. He was a tough guy, some may think because he is a football player, his tattoos, and even because it has been said his tattoos are gang related. 

Hernandez  has had legal troubles for violence going back to 2007 when he was 17 years old. To include a bar fight and a double shooting the he may have been the shooter.

We could have easily thought, well he is in jail, waste of a life, 27 years old and life in jail. All of sudden he commits suicide. I know I thought wow he punked out. He is weak when thinking he could handle the life in jail. Not so tough now. At first I thought wow he couldn't handle it, what was he thinking? Was it that this was the rest of his life. He had nothing to look forward to. Maybe the addition to his team winning the Superbowl in the last season without him, missing to play the Superbowl. 

But we did feel something else we did not see at the time. He seemed to tough to go out like that. Was there a catch to all this, a plan

YES !!!!

The Pats may actually be contractually obligated to pay Hernandez’s estate a $3.5 million bonus that was stopped hours after his murder arrest in 2013. The Patriots may also owe Hernandez an additional $2.5 million in guaranteed base salary that was also halted after his 2013 arrest

So now his family may get paid. If they do, the hard part will be keeping it. There are currently 3 civil suits against the Hernandez estate.

With the law in Massachusetts, because he died while appealing his conviction. His lawyer can file a motion. This motion overturns the conviction.

With the over turned conviction and his death. This could protect his estate, remaining financial assets from civil lawsuits, and any future monies from lawsuits. 

Usually first there is a conviction in court to where it is proved criminally he is guilty. 

 Then the civil suit is brought afterwards to gain financial loss. 

Because Hernandez will now most likely be innocent. A civil suit is much harder to gain. But not impossible

Just look back at OJ Simpson's trial. He won his criminal trial and was found innocent. But he lost his civil suit and had to pay millions.

Don't expect this to end anytime soon. There are law suits all over. Loyd's family has already filed lawsuits whoever has been involved. They also have filed a lawsuit against the New England Patriots.

Loyd's family is already eyeing the money that Hernandez's family may receive from the patriots.

Also a wrongful death lawsuit for Hernandez could be filed against the jail.

No one knows exactly how much Hernandez estate is worth. 

He signed a $40 million contract with the Patriots. He forfeited at least half of that when he was arrested for the Lloyd murder a year later, in 2013.

In a legal proceeding in 2015, a lawyer representing Hernandez in civil court claimed his client had run out of money, telling a judge, “There’s nothing left here as a practical matter.”

Aaron Hernandez conviction may be vacated based on an old legal rule. In other words his conviction may be over turned and he will be considered innocent. This is only due to his death/suicide. 

According to the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, an old legal principle called “abatement ab initio” states that if a person hasn’t exhausted all legal appeals at the time of their death, a guilty verdict is officially vacated. Hernandez,  was appealing the verdict in the Lloyd case.

John M. Thompson, Hernandez's attorney appointed by the state, told the Boston Herald “I was doing research this morning,”

“The first thing we have to do is get a death certificate. Once we have the official documentation, we will file the motion and see whether it’s contested.”

Martin W. Healy, chief legal counsel to the Massachusetts Bar Association, told the Boston Globe the principle is from common law, observed by several older states but it rarely comes up in practice. Healy told the Boston Globe “Unfortunately, in the Odin Lloyd matter, for the family, there won’t be any real closure, Aaron Hernandez will go to his death an innocent man.”

Hernandez was convicted in April of 2015 of murdering Lloyd and was serving a life sentence. Hernandez was acquitted in a separate double murder case last week. He was convicted of gun possession in that case and immediately sentenced to 4-5 years, but Thompson told the Herald there would likely be a motion to throw out that conviction also.

I am sure there are some financial benefits to his family for having the conviction over turned. Although as we know that if there is any money left in the Hernandez estate, or possibly in the future. The Loyd family can file a civil suit.

Yes the owner said he would not tolerate Robert Martin's temper Tantrum, turned off his device, told him to return it.

YAY , the owner was right in his reply. Robert did not contact the manufacturer for help, he thru a temper tantrum and belittled the start up company.

This is ALL about to change.

***The short story is like this. Parent company who is in media buys up a few premium channels that are broadcast. They may also buy partial ownership in a few premium channels, make a few deals to recast some shows from other networks and from other countries. Own some music videos and maybe buy a few shows. Also make a few professional shows. Then they go out and buy a small company that used to broadcast amateur shows.
 Then they will take all premium shows they acquired thru the parent company and broadcast them thru the broadcast company they purchased  and turn away from the amateur shows that were being broadcast. 
The company it will be shown thru the internet is Dailymotion video player.
So a watered down version of Netflix? except it will be only shows they own, or have a piece of the ad pie from, Shows they bought and/or made. Later they would add professional news shows like from Spain. Like there are not a dozen choices already now. 
Besides what they are trying to do is like take a 1000 amateur channels now reduce to have 20 premium channels
But 
they expect all the people who were watching the amateur shows to all of a sudden stop and watch their premium shows. The premium shows had been playing thru other broadcaster. Do you honestly think that will work? Not really cause the people who go to watch the amateur stuff want to watch the amateur produced vids. People can already watch the premium shows elsewhere. Only difference is the parent company has to share the money made from the ads with the other broadcast companies when their premium shows are played on other broadcasting service.
As Ceo Saada has stated France has so much to offer. That maybe great, maybe watch a few shows. But I won't be a steady viewer of French news. I don't live in France. I may even watch a show or 2 on French culture, or french cooking, maybe a show to see some French history or travel site. But out of the 500 thousand current viewers in USA who are steady viewers, how many would continue steadily watch French news, or News from Spain?
Very few would stay as regular viewers. But that is what Saada is working to make***
Also he wants to increase the viewership in the USA to take on youtube.

There is a reason why youtube is so huge in the USA, content is uploaded by Americans for Americans. Not to be what ever word you choose, like racist. It is because we know what to upload because we know what we want to watch. 
If I went to France would I know what they watch? NO not a clue. So same thing applies how can a French CEO have a grasp on what we want to watch in America?

Saada ego, bragging how he cleaned up Dailymotion in the last 2 years. But log into the site and there is nudity everywhere. Videos 2-3 years old with nudity or sexually explicit material. We created a new account to test DM and  how the site runs. We even had a video suggested to us by Dailymotion with a female naked as the thumbnail to the video. All this while we had parental controls on. When we turned off parental controls we can see women in videos we can see everything.
If that is cleaning up the site. WOW would hate to be an investor in this sinking ship. 

Also it was not well publicized. But 20 October 2016, just a few months ago. Dailymotion was hacked and 85.2 Million  people had their private information and passwords stolen. No mention of the financial information they have to pay people who upload for profit.

On December 2, 2016, based on these charges, a Moscow court ordered that access to DailyMotion be blocked in Russia. DailyMotion did not appeal the decision, according to Gazprom Media. As a consequence, the court has ordered Roskomnadzor, the telecom regulator, to block access to the site from Russian territory.

of Dailymotion come June of 2017

Their focus on professionally produced content centered around news, sports, music and entertainment rather than user-generated content (amature made content). They are also looking to shed their UGC partners and bring aboard professional content partners. Dailymotion will look to target viewers 18-49, and will put an emphasis on live-streaming video events 

While former video creators one by one have received emails without warning, notifying them their accounts have been "disabled".

Yes, Dailymotion does not even have the courage to say terminated or cancelled. With Dailymotion's policy of payment from advertisement to be a minimum of $100.00 US

The video creator must have over $100 earned before the payment is released . So where is the money going to from all the accounts Dailymotion has terminated that have less then $100 in ad money for payment????

Current video creators must now think to find a new video upload service. Along with how can they bring their followers to which ever new service they choose. Like all moves, these creators can be assured of 2 things. First the lost of revenue, second the loss of some or even all of their followers. Creators must plan now. Once your account is "disabled" you will not be able to reach your followers. "Arguing with Dailymotion is useless" as one creator stated.

And once your account is disabled, there is no possible ability to log in to contact your followers

All in the name of reinventing itself, relaunch, or any other name used for the killing of the company they were put in charge of. 
For what??
Their egos, maybe simply their bigger bonuses? Maybe little of both. 
Do they care if a company fails? Does not seem like they do! With the hefty severance packages these CEOs gain even  after a company FAILS. Look at 2002 CEO then when he is credited with the largest financial loss in French History was still given a multi-million dollar severance package.

And after the recent fall of Yahoo most notably

The new Dailymotion will still allow users to post their own video, but “it’s not the main purpose of the platform” going forward, Saada said. He added that Dailymotion does not monetize UGC videos.

Another words, they want to become another media streaming but on the internet. They want to make mini series. Saada has even stated their intend is to have professional series videos  and do away with the normal everyday uploader
And 
They do not want the creators that upload hog pog videos.

So one idea is to have The Edge from U2 to be guest on a cooking show on Dalymotion. Great idea right?
So cooking and some music is the idea. So how long will that last when you look weekly for a new musician to come on the show?
And your viewers will be who likes that particular musician, not steady viewers who like the show for cooking. And like we need one more cooking show. 

With 300 million-plus on Dailymotion, they plan to convert those viewers to content Dailymotion wants to show, not what the viewers want to see.

So Dailymotion wants to take on youtube, and be bigger then youtube but DM are going to make their own videos. But they also want to be like Netflix. So a watered down youtube, and a wanna be Netflix.

Currently, Dailymotion attracts 300 million users who watch 3.5 billion videos, 
500 thousand users in the USA Maxime Saada is CEO of Dailymotion and also chief exec of Canal Plus

What Saada fails to understand we as people like to watch others doing stupid things. Why do you think the movie Jack Ass became so HUGE. They even had a tv show.
We like to see stupid people to do stupid things, and laugh at them.

Vivendi also owns Universal Music Group. Which they license to Vevo. Vevo then plays on youtube. Dailymotion plan to start bringing content from UMG to play on DailymotiionCanal Plus Studio funded shows such as Ovation network’s “Versailles,” and movies including “Paddington Bear.”
Vivendi also owns Gameloft. They also plan to incorporate Gameloft into their site

So they failed once before and plan is a pathway to fail again. This time hurting the UGC, as Vivendi calls them non premium content makers aka "amateurs"

There is so much content, so many channels. 

Look at other failed video streaming site

Blip (formerly blip.tv) founded on May 5, 2005, and it was located in New York City

was acquired by Maker Studios in 2013 and shut down by them on August 20, 2015 and moving the content to maker.tv In December 2015, the company became a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.Since becoming a subsidiary, the company has suffered multiple rounds of 

layoffs, executive shuffling, and 

partners cut-offs

In February 2017, Maker Studios had around 60,000 YouTube partnerships, but announced that it intends to reduce this to about 1,000. Many partnered YouTubers had been unhappy with the terms of their contracts, including difficulty with ending contracts

LiveUniverse stopped paying the UGC and shut down.



My Opinion. They could have split the Dailymotion into premium and non premium. Kept both, just cleaned up the UGC content. Keeping their viewership and building on a strong foundation. Instead I feel they are destroying the foundation of Dailymotion. 
This will only benefit youtube, or other youtube like services. pushing the UGC content to others also pushing viewership away.
Time is now ripe for a new service to pick up what Dailymotion wants to shed. And become a competitor of youtube.
Dailymotion's ambition to rival youtube is a pipe dream. And like 2002 they will fail again. Mark my words we will see in the future

Dailymotion will shutter its Palo Alto office and is hemorraging employees faster than they can replace them including its senior team. French publication LeMonde cited that Chief Operating Officer Martin Rogard will be wrapping up his role over the next few months. Rogard is among the last of the legacy senior executives to depart the company. One source has told VideoInk that the company has lost over 100 employees, and that this past month was the first in many that the body count wasn’t in the negative for the online video platform. Another executive noted that the company is giving bonus incentives to employees who refer new hires. Dailymotion’s U.S. operations will hub from New York and Los Angeles.


By reading all this and more. You probably have a feeling that DM is sinking.
