Judge Neil Gorsuch confirmed to Supreme Court of the United States 54 Yes vs 45 No, Republicans go nuclear, Democrats filibuster is busted

54 YES
45 No
Gorsuch officially confirmed

Senate Republicans deployed the so-called “nuclear option” Thursday afternoon busting the Democrat filibuster paving the way for Gorsuch to be nominated. The republicans only need to add up the votes now.

55 yay to 45 na to end filibuster. With 3 democrats voting yay.

Final vote on Friday. Now only a show, Gorsuch has the votes.

This will not be the end but the beginning. With countless lower court judge appointments needed to be filled, this will continue.
We all knew this was coming, Republicans go nuclear option, and probably the way it would come about. Democrats had said countless times they will only consider Garland, the Judge Obama had selected. So no matter which judge the republicans wanted, the Democrats would have only voted yes to Garland. The Democrats have forced the nuclear option.
It has been, as many knew, all a political show. Both sides informed us what they would do long ago. The democrats were powerless after the sever losses in the 2016 election. But why so much debate? Why so much news about this? Why? Why? Why?
Well it all goes back to 2013 when Harry Reid needed to confirm seven lower court judge appointees.

Note:We should also note that Reid, when he was confident that Hillary Clinton would be president, bragged about laying the groundwork for doing away with the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees. In a “wide-ranging” interview about his “legacy”.

But, in reality, he actually handed the Senate and Supreme Court to the conservatives—he said:

Harry Reid: “I really do believe that I have set the Senate so when I leave, we’re going to be able to get judges done with a majority. It takes only a simple majority anymore. And, it’s clear to me that if the Republicans try to filibuster another circuit court judge, but especially a Supreme Court justice, I’ve told ’em how and I’ve done it, not just talking about it. I did it in changing the rules of the Senate. It’ll have to be done again.”

Back in 2013, Reid was confident that the democrats would win the presidency and also the Senate. Also the Democrats believed they could win many of the House of Representatives seats back in 2016. They did not believe they would have control in the House, but with all the media surrounding at the time. They believed by 2018 when all 435 seats in the House are up for election they would regain control. As the 2016 elections grew closer, some of the polls showed certain signs, and the Democrats started to speak they had a chance not only to regain some seats but to take control of the House.

After the election and the losses in the House, Senate, and Presidency. The democrats lost all power. They were stunned to say the least. As news anchor after news anchor from liberal media outlets showed their astonishment, asking why and how is it possible, and many even crying. The nation was stunned. Trump had at best only a 10% chance to win in with Vegas odds makers. Leading up to the election most of the talk even from conservatives were how Trump did not have a chance, there was no road map for him to win.

This is the reason for the liberal media "crying", show, and down right spectacle. The Democrats have no power, none. And with Reid in 2013 changing the Senate rules to 51 votes only. The Democrats knew they would be powerless.

Why the showmanship from the liberal side? Political playbook, because during the last 8 years it worked, the liberal based continued to elect/reelect their party candidates. Democrats could do no wrong, and blaming Bush, labeling republicans as obstructionists worked. Now they are without power. And their nightmares are coming true.

How did we get here? who started it? Has been
tit-for-tat escalations stretching back for 40 years. Was it Democrats’ filibuster of Judge Neil Gorsuch? Yes. Was it Republicans’ blockade of a raft of Obama lower-court nominees? Yep. Was it the public humiliation of Clarence Thomas? You betcha. Was it the defeat of Robert Bork’s nomination? For sure.

Found Brand New twin ’87 Buick Grand Nationals!, Found pair of Brand New ’87 Buick Grand Nationals!, classic cars

Found Brand New twin ’87 Buick Grand Nationals!, with identical window stickers in both cars.

That's correct, and with consecutive vin numbers, thus named the twins. One car has 807 miles which the owner has said that was the one of the twins he drove a couple of times. The other car has 592 miles. What a find!!! Ahhhh the dream of owning one of the twins.
The cars were purchased and then parked in a garage in a western Oklahoma town for the last 30 years. The owner thought it was time to sell them. Asking $200,000 for the twins on a facebook post. WOW, but totally worth it. You will never find a find like this. William Avila a Grand National fan saw the post, and contacted the owner. After jumping through all his hoops that the owner asked for, William Avila was able to go see the cars.
Obvious the owner was smart, he didn't want a mob of people to waste his time, people who just wanted to see the cars, maybe even be annoying with low ball offers, or even worse have them stolen. It's not said but we assume William had to prove he could afford the $200k to purchase the cars.

William did not have the $200k to purchase the twins but his friend Shawn Mathews did. After months of haggling on the price, and the owner not relenting. Shawn Mathews found mustang he wanted, and called the owner of the twins to retract his offer and said he would be buying a mustang. Apparently that pushed the owner/seller to accept Shawn's offer.

Shawn became the owner of the twin ’87 Buick Grand Nationals. His plans are to keep them both, restore and keep them both, and bring them to car shows.

The twin with 592 miles still had the new car smell, the windows were all the way up. Clean but with the headliners were sagging.
The other twin with 807 miles, had a window left cracked. Seemed more dusty then its twin, The back seat looked like cat urine. But over all in great shape

Tony Romo retires, become broadcaster

Tony Romo retires, become broadcaster

After 12 years, with many disappointing seasons, and injuries. Cowboy's quarterback will retire. This is the best thing for the Cowboys!! Romo is not healthy like he used to be with a fragile body and to costly to keep on the roster with a salary cap. Romo's decision came down to his health. Since 2013 and Romo's back injury, two transverse process fractures in 2014, broken left collarbone in 2015, compression fracture in his back in 2016. For health reasons, with that amount of injuries. The questions of his retirement has been asked almost daily in 2016. In Romo's best interest he made a wise decision. The daily pain from those injuries he will carry on for the rest of his life. Becoming worse as he ages. He will turn 37 on April 21.

Romo has reached a verbal agreement with CBS to be its No. 1 color commentator, replacing former NFL quarterback Phil Simms.

Romo also had interests from other sports news organizations.

The Cowboys are planning to release him Tuesday. Dallas is expected to designate Romo as a post-June 1 release, softening the blow against the Cowboys' cap this season. Instead of counting $24.7 million against the cap in 2017, Romo would count $10.7 million this year and $8.9 million in 2018. The Cowboys would gain $14 million in cap space this season, but it would not become available until June 2. The Cowboys will carry $19.6 million in dead money for the 2017 season, $8.9 million in 2018 and $3.2 million in 2019. as reported by espn.

Romo now will get to spend more time with his family while still retaining a strong connection to the game he loves. Romo spent the past several weeks working through the decision, sources stated.

Romo no longer will be a consideration for the Texans or Broncos. He can be an emergency qb to any team who finds a need thru the upcoming season. Be sure any team would have to pay Romo a hefty fee to come out of retirement.

The Texans were seen as leading contender for Romo. Tom Savage will now be Texans #1 with Brandon Weedon as #2

Brady speaking to Trump about , FBI's probe into Russian meddling of US election

Brady: How come the FBI can find my stolen jersey so quickly but they can't find any evidence of Russians rigging the election?

Trump: It's a lot easier to investigate things that actually happened!

I-85 update, I-85 what happened, I-85 collapse update, I-85 what next

1st the overpass is now closed in both directions. Leaving 250,000 people to find alternate routes. In an already crowded city, with heavy traffic, this will add to the congestion for all drivers around the area.

Arrests--3 people were arrested Friday night, stated the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. Authorities believe one of the suspects started the fire intentionally. Fire department spokesman Cortez Stafford said two men and one woman were arrested. Georgia Deputy Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Jay Florence who identified one suspect as Basil Eleby who was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal damage to property. If convicted, he faces one to 10 years in prison. Also identified were Sophia Bruner and Barry Thomas who face criminal trespassing charges.

Why did the northbound side fall? The fire weakened the structure causing it to fall.

Why both sides of I-85 closed? The fire severely damaged the southbound side, and must be repaired.

What caused the fire? Firefighters still do not known what started the fire. What we do know---State Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry said.---the fire was started in a construction supplies storage area that was fenced in. The area is where the state stores construction materials and supplies near the overpass. Coils of high-density polyethylene pipes "traffic management, cabling, fiber-optic and wire network." The material had been stored in the area "for some time, probably since 2006 or -7,"

Repairs time?  Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry stated it will take "at least several months" to rebuild the collapsed and damaged portions of I-85.

There are 3 parts to the north bound lane. That includes the section that had collapsed. Also the 3 south bound sections of overpass that were damaged. McMurry said at least 350 feet of Interstate 85 northbound and southbound will have to be replaced.

Tony Radoszewski, president of the Plastics Pipe Institute, Irving, Texas. Radoszewski explained flammability of HDPE is relatively low. For HDPE materials burn, they would have to be exposed to a high temperature flame for a considerable amount of time.

EPA spokesman Larry Lincoln stated, The Environmental Protection Agency took samples of the air and of the water in a nearby creek; results will be available in about two weeks.
